Power of Attorney, the Najiz platform, and the one step that still needs a visit.
You do not need to be in Saudi Arabia to start a Saudi company. Through a properly legalised Power of Attorney and the Ministry of Justice’s digital Najiz platform, the entire formation process — license, Articles of Association, and Commercial Registration — can be completed while you remain in your home country.
Here is how it typically works. First, your home-country documents (incorporation certificates, qualifications, or personal ID, depending on your license type) are attested through the relevant embassy or consulate. Next, you execute a Power of Attorney appointing a representative — often your setup partner — to act on your behalf inside the Kingdom. From there, your representative files the MISA license application, and you e-sign the Articles of Association remotely.
The one step that typically still requires a visit is opening the corporate bank account, since most Saudi banks require an in-person meeting with at least one signatory. Many clients schedule this for their first visit, once the company itself is already fully formed.
This route is ideal for testing the Saudi market before committing to a physical relocation. Nova Vertex acts as your in-Kingdom representative throughout, so nothing waits on your travel schedule.
